I’ve been sporadically making diary comics again.
Here’s a few from the last couple of months.

I’ve been sporadically making diary comics again.
Here’s a few from the last couple of months.

Here’s a comic I worked on with writer Victor Santiago earlier in the year. It was for an anthology, but here it is on my blog for you to read instead. These are some of my favourite pages from this year.

Hello,
I’ve been dabbling in making music recently. It’s something I’ve always been interested in but never really pursued in any way, so I’ve started messng around with production in my downtime. I don’t really know where I’m going with it, it’s just something fun to do!
I’ve been using the name Anaseed for this project (which used to be my handle/ pen name if you didn’t know that already) but now it’s more of just a nickname. I thoght I’d use it as a way to keep it seperate from my art (plus I still use the name Anaseed when I made things that doesn’t really fit the Bozo Robo brand)

Every now and then I’ll draw this character. Her name is Lime. But I can’t seem to decide what to do with here, perhaps it’ll be nothing?
I’ve not written her in to a story, or even thought about her in a way that adds context to her existence.
The only things that are certain is that she’s always around old tech, and that Koala thing.

Here’s some illustrations of monsters based on various threats the climate.
These are for a card game, but it’s not set in stone, they may well get used for something else. For now, I’ll be mocking up some playing cards and something that vaguely resembles rules. Once I make further progress with this project I’ll be sure to share here on the blog.
I’ve got a few more that I’m working on, these are the ones that currently finished.

Earlier in the year I printed a collection of a diary comics that covered October 2020 – mid January 2021.
I hadn’t printed any comics since around September 2019 as, obviously, I’d not been attending Comic Cons. I printed partly because I wanted and parly becuase I had to, these comics were for a uni project (I got an A by the way)
I was planning to keep the comics running on Instagram as something quick that I could work on everyday, but as the UK has been in a never-ending lockdown I decided to put it on hold. There’s only so many strips I can draw about myself staring out of my living room window.
But now as things are… not getting back to normal, but there’s at least the option to do something other than travel further than couple miles from home, which means I may actually have some stuff write about soon. You can follow my diary comic on IG @bozodiary if you don’t already.

I find myself making font quite regularly now.
Here’s some recent ones. Eggbox is my personal favorite, I wanted to try and build a font that had some Y2K vibes. I don’t know if I really achieved that but I like it all the same.

I’m also in the process of making a font with a caligraphy brush to resemble Japanese/ Chinese calligraphy without looking really cheesey. It’s early days at the moment, but I can tell you know, it’s not quite as easy as I thought it would be. I’ll get there though!

Here’s some more visual diary entries from the past month-ish.
I’ve tried my best to avoid talking about COVID/ Lockdown etc as much as possible, as hard as it was at times.
As this is (partially) univerity work, I was asked as part of the module to draw some entries with my eyes closed and honestly, I love them.

While I’ve been studying I’ve gotten in to making my own fonts, which is something I’ve wanted to dabble in for a while. Going back in to education gave me an excuse to finally make them.
Butternut Regular is my most recent typeface. This was the first one I used a grid to make, the other have been completly freehand. Why Butternut? Cos the letters are… squashed.
Eat The Rich based on some hand written text from some posters I made in the past. I made it to save time more than anything. Kinda ironically, I’ve not really used this one.
BozoRoboGX was also made as a time saving measure. The idea was to use this for lettering comics but when it’s used in speech bubbles I’m not super happy with the kerning, it’s fixable, but it takes away the point of it being time saving. Though it has come in handy for a number of projects, both personal and academic.

For a project at uni I need to keep a visual diary for the next 6 months. I’ve been posting them on instagram daily(ish) under @bozodiary, I’ll post a selection of them here each month.
